Hermon Kaysha shared his powerful story, adapted from his Valedictorian speech, on @edu_post. Read at the link in bio or check out the front page of Educationpost.org. Hermon writes, “So many of my fellow graduates at KIPP and all public schools across the country share similar struggles. However, these situations have not stopped us from being the amazing students, athletes, mentors and graduates that we are today. They have not stopped us from making the Class of 2020 the best class ever. These challenges have galvanized our resilience and motivated us to achieve even more. Our individual and collective strength is a result of the adversity we faced. And today, too, we need this resilience to celebrate our graduation.” #KALC2020 #teamandfamily #edthataddsup #classof2020

Although we couldn't hold our much-anticipated Engineering Fair in person this year, we wanted to celebrate the work our students have done! Check out a few project highlights on our website http://kippma.org/kipp-celebrates-engineering-work-in-2019-2020-school-year/. The students of KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate are committed to organizing and mobilizing communities against police brutality, the child of systemic racism in America. We will begin with, but not limit this effort to, our own communities.
Join us in this effort by donating your time, your ideas, and/or your financial means. In the face of a pandemic, we acknowledge and hope to minimize the additional risk of COVID-19 as we collectively show up in our community. We are assembling a student advisory board who will oversee and ultimately decide how the funds donated to this cause are spent. Some examples may include purchasing masks and hand sanitizer for demonstrators, purchasing and distributing symbols of solidarity (e.g. Black Lives Matter lawn signs), feeding and hydrating our co-conspirators, and redistributing funds to similar causes across nearby communities.

Support KALC students' efforts by donating at the link in our bio. https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/kalc-coalition-to-end-white-supremacy

"We are building a future for our kids that we cannot conceive of yet – and I hope they live in a safer and more just world than we’re existing in now. I don’t just want our kids to survive. I want them to thrive." -Eveleen Hsu, KALE Founding School Leader

At KIPP, we say that we are all Team & Family and we truly believe that. We hurt when members of our family hurt. We cry when our family cries. We stand with you, and all people fighting against injustice. 📸 Cred: @shirien.creates via @brookecharterschools
