This year we adopted Illustrative Mathematics, which is a problem-based math curriculum that allows students to actively learn and explore mathematical concepts through problem solving.With this new curriculum, kids get more opportunities to take ownership of their math learning and work more collaboratively with their peers.

This year we have launched a new word study curriculum for K-2 students called CKLA which stands for Core Knowledge Language Arts. Our word study block is core to early literacy learning – this is where our students learn the code of the English language which supports every student in becoming an independent and confident reader and writer.

Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA)
This year we’ve adopted Fishtank Learning as our new ELA Curriculum for K-8. .Fishtank is a text-first curriculum that is focused on knowledge building. There is year-long thematic alignment with intentional knowledge building within a grade level and text sets as well as K-8 alignment of content and skill development. The goal of Fishtank’s curriculum is to widen students’ perspectives so that they can better understand themselves and the world around them, while simultaneously building the habits of strong readers, writers, thinkers, and speakers.
