Curriculum Corner

Last year, in school year 2024-2025, we adopted:

• CKLA–  foundational reading curriculum in grades K-2 to teach early literacy skills
• Fishtank ELA– core ELA program teaching reading and writing for grades K-8
• Illustrative Math– core Math curriculum for K-8 centered on mathematical thinking skills and conceptual knowledge
• Democratic Knowledge Project for 8th Grade social studies, and most of Investigating History in 5th-7th

This year, we continued to refine our curriculum by adopting:

• • Illustrative Math– core Math curriculum for 9th and 10th graders enrolled in: Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II centered on mathematical thinking skills and conceptual knowledge
  • Novel ELA– core literature course for 9th graders, 12th Grade, and AP Language
