[November, 2021] It was an exciting day at KIPP Academy Boston where the doors to the highly anticipated daycare opened!
The daycare was designed with KIPP Boston staff in mind to help secure childcare for teachers and staff that have young children. Working closely with Maureen at Little Voices, KIPP Boston was able to transform two rooms on campus into the daycare facility-one room for infants and one room for toddlers. Take a video tour of the daycare here!
“When I see this room, I think of the impact it will have on every single kid in the building,” KIPP Boston Principal Zachary Meisner said. Mr. Meisner acknowledged that the opening of a daycare will continue to support staff as staff members expand their families, making KIPP an even more accessible place for teachers and staff to work and thrive in.
We would like to thank our partners at KB Law, Arrowstreet Architecture, Maureen and her team at Little Voices, and our contractors Pat and Terry. We are filled with gratitude and appreciation to our board, specifically Paul Ketterer for his guidance through this process and our staff – who pushed us to make this daycare a reality.
